Adult Herring Gull / Adulte Silbermöwe (Larus argentatus)

The strikingly rounded head profile, the bill which is not very strong and the short legs give this bird the typical jizz of a Herring Gull. Additional features are the head streaking that covers a large part of the head (in Yellow-legged Gull it would tend to be confined around and just behind the eye) and the pale fleshy leg colour.

Das auffällig runde Kopfprofil, der Schnabel, der nicht sehr stark ist, und die kurzen Beine geben diesem Vogel den typischen Gesamteindruck einer Silbermöwe. Zusätzliche Kennzeichen sind die Kopfstrichelung, die einen grossen Teil der Kopfes bedeckt (bei der Mittelmeermöwe wäre sie meist auf die Partie um das und hinter dem Auge beschränkt) und die blass fleischfarbene Beinfarbe.
