The dark markings on the bend of the wing and on the tertials, the dark primary coverts and the very small pale spots at the tips of the primaries distinguish this bird from an adult. This gull is in primary moult, at least p 5 is lacking.

Die dunklen Markierungen am Flügelbug und auf den Schirmfedern, die dunklen Handdecken und die sehr kleinen weissen Markierungen an den Spitzen der äusseren HS unterscheiden dieses Ind. von einem Altvogel. Die Möwe ist in HS-Mauser, mind. HS 5 fehlt.
